Photo_Tone is a solo performance by Mia Zabelka exploring the sonic potential of matter, energy and transformation. Drawing on ideas from particle physics, chemistry and microscopic natural processes, Zabelka translates phenomena beyond ordinary perception into an immersive acoustic experience.

Electric violin, voice, live electronics, sound objects and computer-generated sounds merge into a fluid sonic system. Acoustic and electronic sources continuously transform into resonance, noise, harmonics, microtonal textures and spectral layers. Drones, rhythmic impulses and sudden eruptions of sound form an ever-shifting “acoustic multiverse” in which contrasting densities and energies coexist.

Balancing composition and improvisation, Zabelka shapes each performance in real time. Photo_Tone approaches sound as a living ecology—one in which multiplicity, instability and transformation become musical forces.
