Zabelka / Druxs – Live System is an evolving performance environment where electroacoustic improvisation and contemporary electronic music dissolve into a single sonic ecology. Rather than placing the violin on top of electronic structures, Mia Zabelka and Christian Druxs develop a shared system in which rhythm, resonance, noise, and space continuously emerge, mutate, and disappear. Extended violin techniques, live electronics, modular synthesis, granular processing, feedback, and fragmented techno architectures interact as equal agents within an open compositional process.

The performance unfolds as a dynamic transformation—from microscopic textures and immersive sound fields to hypnotic pulses, dense physical energy, and back into fragile acoustic spaces. Throughout the work, the distinction between acoustic and electronic sound becomes increasingly unstable: the violin behaves like a synthesizer, while electronic processes acquire the tactile qualities of a living instrument.

Live System explores the porous boundaries between composition and improvisation, listening and dancing, concert and club. It proposes a performative practice in which technology is not a tool but an active partner, generating a constantly shifting musical ecosystem shaped by interaction, unpredictability, and collective presence.
