One.Night stands for a one-off, unrepeatable ensemble piece based on a composition developed exclusively for a given performance in a certain place at a certain time. New pieces emerge, developing themselves in the moment.
Zabelka's music has always been concerned with "opposing" elements, with minimalism and orgiastic explosiveness at once. Her approach to contemporary music production and composition has always involved combining various positions and aspects, finding the creative moment in divergent tension.
The one.night.band's approach to composition and perfromance has to do with common goals and contrasting positions, with comparisons, communication, exchange, dialogue but also confrontation, a musical exchange of ideas and personalities, where each individual contributes their unique cultural and aesthetic traditions and styles, combining musical and electronic techniques and ways of playing. Openness and attentiveness is essential to the musicians' exchange, playing together to create a performance beyond conventional geographic and stylistic definitions and boundaries.
